Could anyone give me some good recomendations on car polishes? I just bought a new black 05' Nissan Altima.
I want it to keep a nice dark shine that will last, but also I want a polihs that will sheet water right off. I've read a good review on Zainol Z-2 and prestone Bullet spray wax. What do you guys prefer? Thanks.

Get a orbital buffer and some faom pads you won't be sorry. I like Poorboys products the best. Since you car is new I would use his SSR1 and then followup with Polish w Carnuba then you can top with a good paste wax or sealnt. I have a black BMW and I just do the first two but mine is a garage queen

Zainol is actually Zaino, no "l" on the end of it. It is probably on of the longest lasting sealants available. It also needs to go on a properly prepped surface. Imperfeections that might be hidden by some products are not hidden by Zaino. I think a common term is 100% optically clear.
I don't know anything about Bullet spray wax, but I personally would have reservations about the effectiveness of an spray wax. No real reason , since it is just another way to get wax on to the paint, but I still wouldn't feel comfortable with it.
There are lots of combinations that will do the job for you and making a decision isn't always easy. Don't go overboard with buying a lot of stuff right away.
If you are looking for a one step product, Meguiar's NXT seems to do a pretty good job at a good price.
My personal preference, (right now:)) happens to be Klasse AIO for a polish/prep and 4 Star UPP for my LSP.
So many products, so little time.
