New to detailing, first car...

I found this forum a while ago when looking for some very basic tips on washing my car. After reading a few threads, I found myself caring more and more, until I just had to do everything right. $50 in products turned in to $100, then $200, now I don't even wanna think about it. Anywho...I'm hooked. Started doing it on the side for a few car guys around here, and a few friends. This is the first car I did, wish I had the before pics on my computer, I'll post them when they get sent to me.

Car had 100k+ miles on it, and in pretty busted shape. Paint was rough, didn't have any shine, TONS of scratches and webs in the paint, pretty typical I guess?

After many hours, here are a few pics I snapped, just for example, lemme know what you guys think.

There was a VERY large scuffmark on this fender, was able to take care of it though :-)

I've become so detailed oriented lately, its going to drive me crazy. I'm jumping in to this whole detailing thing headfirst, and have had a blast doing it! I'll be sure to post a few other cars I get done, just did another BMW but I'm waiting on the pictures, doing a supra tonight :getdown

Looks very nice. There's nothing wrong with jumping in headfirst, well, most of the time, LOL enjoy.

Looks amazing!!! I'm not keen on black cars, but the more I see black Supra's, the more and more I like them. Looks like you made a huge turn-around with both cars!!!

Keep up the killer work!

how much time did it take u to do the supra and the bmw???

Way, way, way too long. The BMW was sort of a demo car for me. Ended up removing the wheels, detailing suspension, inside and outside of wheels, exhaust, and everything else imaginable. I prolly spent a good 12 hours MINIMUM, prolly alot more. I really should have some before pics of that car, complete 180. The supra took me a good 6 hours or more I would say, without even touching the interior, only body work. Have a few nicer cars coming up, so I'll be sure to post pics.

damn the paint on the sup is nice! That before pick of it, where it looks kind of white, is that before or after washing it? Because i put up a thread where my supra rear fenders look like that...the whitish look on black after washing, but my rear bumper is super shiny black. It looks like a pathetic paint job, but nothing has been repainted (to my knowledge)

it was actually taken before the wash, also those pics were taken before a storm, which left it even dirtier then the pics show. That supra had actually been repainted pretty badly.

what process did you use, polisher, and polish? I can't stand doing bmws just because my PC with orange pad wouldn't cut, that's with SSR 2.5 though, i bought OP, HTEC, and HTHC, so hopefully it'll do something tis time.

Actually, the work done on all three cars was done by hand. I still need to order the PC asap though. Used Zaino, and a few other products for the trim/plastic/other random pieces.
