New to detailing and Have Q's

I am new to these boards so bare with me. I understand the whole claying, polish, wax deal. Not saying I know what I'm doing I just understand the Basic's. I ordered Klasse all in one and Mequires NXT. My question is: Is Klasse all in one, a cleaner, polish, and sealent/wax all in one? Also can you find Clay bars and PC's (I'm assuming PC stands for porter cable) in local auto stores or are they special order products? I can only find regular orbital buffers. One More Question: Can orbital buffers do a decent job with polishing out swirls on well kept paint? Thanks

I have found the best deals for the PC online. I think you get the most for your money when you buy a package with pads. The debate on whether the PC can remove swirls continues. I have one, but use my rotary when doing cars that have severe swirls, or oxidation. You can find clay bars at auto stores. Most of them are about 15.99 for a 5oz bar. A 200gram bar is about twice that and you can find them online for around $20. Most sites will sell a clay pacakage that comes with qd (quick detailer-lube for clay).

AIO is a great cleaner, not a polish ( no abrasives), and a mediocre sealant. AIO is generally liked because it does a great job cleaning and isn't a lot of rubbing.



AIO and NXT are really things that are pretty easy by hand.



Cheapest, and arguably best quality, clay bars are Clay Magic at Autozone. That's what I use. They don't disentegrate on you and the tackyness helps you keep from dropping them. It comes with a bottle of lube, but if you overlube like I do (and don't listen to those foolish people who say that overlubing makes it not clean as well, heck, we're not scrubbing here) you'll use that bottle up and then switch to your QD.



As for a PC getting out true swirls, it depends. Some cars have very hard paint, and that's a good thing, until someone trashes it at amateur night at the rotary at your local dealer.



PCs are good tools. My car is small, so I don't have one yet. I'll get one in the next few years due to arthritis though.
