I am getting my first convertible a brand new z 51 corvette. I want to protect the top as soon as I get it. I believe the top is twill not vinyl. I have narrowed it down to the raggtopp kit or the 303 kit anybody want to put their 2 cents in?

Congrats on the new Vette!!! I used to have a 2001 Toyota MR2 Spyder, and I always used Raggtopp products. It always worked good for me. Have fun with that car!

Nice choice for a new car.I've used the 303 kit.The cleaner is not a problem. The protectant you have to be careful not to get on paint. Wipe off immediately if you spray on paint.Best to cover car while doing the top with the protectant.

I just bought my first convertible a little over a year ago. Mine has a vinyl top though. I've been using the 303 products and they are great. However, I have no experience with their fabric line-up.

If I were you the first thing I would do before buying anything is to find out whether the top is vinyl or fabric for sure. My top is vinyl, but looks like it could be fabric. So, I would say you can't tell just by looking. Once you know I would say you can't go wrong with either 303 or Ragg Top.

the owner of auotgeek has a new vette and hangs out on the vette forum he and others have said it is fabric not vinyl. I am leaning toward the ragtopp stuff. I can't wait to get the car. I sold my supra this past may and have been going through sports car withdrawel since. it going to look like this not my car I apologize to whoever it is in advance

dashotgun,

I bought an CLK500 AMG Cabriolet this year and have enjoyed using the ragtop line. Rain beads up on the top as nicely as a fine coat of PS21. :2thumbs:

Find out who the manufacture of the material is and then see if there is a recommendation.
