Just heard about this site from the DodgeTalk.com site. GREAT!!! I am so glad to find such a site. I have just a couple of questions:

1. If you can, please fill me in on some of the abbreviations, such as PC, MPPC, DACP, LCM, QD, PM, and what they mean? and any others you can think of.

2. I just purchased a 2003 Dodge quad cab Hemi with 20's. It's about 6 weeks old. What sort of treatment would you recommend for the first time sealant, glaze, wax, etc. I like Meguires and 3M products. Are there other superior glazes, etc? Thanks a Million

:welcome to Autopia

Go to top right and click on "Learn"

Also, search this site, as we have sooooo many posts!

On the top right as well are reviews on products you may be considering, so check that out as well!

Lots of nice pics in the member gallery!

Enjoy this site!

Regards,

Deanski

First: :welcome to Autopia. Tons of good info here, as others have pointed out.

Second, I think just about every Autopian would concur you should clay the truck after you wash it and before you move onto any glaze/polish.

Beyond that, have you examined the paint closely to determine whether it has any tiny swirls/scratches? Unfortunately, most detailers manage to install those defects on most vehicles. Give us info on that, as that will determine recommendations.

rntonp - Welcome to Autopia. As Lynn suggested, you should probably clay the vehicle. The Autopia "Block, Glide, and Waffle" kit works *VERY* well.

Besides that, well, happy reading. And you'll be fine with 3M and Meguiar's stuff if that's your preference.
