New tires... what OTC dressing?

So I ended up getting some of the Four Star Tire Gel while it was (and still is) BOGO at autogeek.

I have to say... I like this stuff a lot. This stuff leaves a really nice deep matte finish, exactly what I was looking for. It's not shiny at all, which is good. I didn't really even let it soak in for a very long time when I used it, but it's held up to a few days of rain extremely well. I'm very impressed. Which is good, because I have 2 bottles of it to use.

I'll try to get some pictures of it later. But it gives a very similar appearance to the Ultima tire protectant.

As promised, here's a really huge picture of my tire with it on. This is after a few days or heavy rain here in South Florida too. Oh, and there's a bonus! I put NXT on the wheel, so you can see that too!

Anyways, like I said, not much shine, very deep and wet black, lasts very well compared to other stuff I've put on my tires before. No sling after letting it seep in for a few minutes and then wiping the excess off(though I will likely let it seem longer next time, I gave it between 1 and 5 minutes this first time). Thumbs up on the product, Thumbs down on the price if you don't buy it during a BOGO though ($18 for a bottle of tire stuff is crackpipe pricing IMHO, then again I don't drive a super expensive vehicle and don't have tons of money sitting around. If you do however, feel free to send me some :)).

Still using Z16, still liking it better than anything else. It is *not* a shiny tire dressing, though.

Yep, I love that stuff, but its not OTC. A bottle seems to last forever. For OTC, I love No-Touch regular. Very similar look to Z16 and less work.

Zaino Z-16 gets a great deal of praise on these boards but if you want to stick with OTC, Duragloss's tire dressing is often mentioned as being very close to Zaino Z-16. (Some even say it is the exact same product. :bolt )

Yes Duragloss #253, Duragloss TRD (Tire & Rubber Dressing) is very close to z-16

OTC...Meguiars Endurance is the best I've tried. Not a high gloss shine if that's what you're looking for...more of a natural shine.

no one mentioned megs hyper dressing..........if it can be diluted with water, wouldnt that make it water based ?

and what about raised white letter tires.... how can you use a gel ( needs an applicator) i have a truck and i want a dressing that will not get all over the place.

Surf City Garage Beyond black can be had at advance auto and is hands down the best OTC dressing. I even prefer it over my wolfgang gel.
