New Technique???

I just tried my first batch of Natty's Blue on both my Silver Tundra and White A4. I have to say, it looked great!! The Silver on the Tundy never had so much gloss or pop!! However, after applying the Natty's, I did a quick spit shine with my OCW. Both vehicles have great gloss, clarity, and depth..at least for white and silver. I seemed like the OCW after the Natty's really brought them alive. The paint was amazingly slick, as a bird pooped on the Audi, and the poop beaded!! :chuckle:

Anyone else ever try this method? I would be curious to see how it works on darker colors.

I would include pics, but the battery has shot craps on my camera...won't hold a charge!!

Funny you posted this. Last weekend I detailed my truck a 2005 Tacoma. I did AIO/SG one day and then followed up by OCW and P21S spit shined. I did 2-3 layers of spit shining over the SG and the results are amazing. Here are some pictures. Not only did the flake 'POP' I had great gloss!

I really like this combo. I know it's not Natty's but it's close enough I hope :xyxthumbs

FWIW, I was just going to do a regular spit shine with water or QD but I saw OCW sitting on the shelf so I decided to try that out.

Looks like the pop in the Tundra!! I was using S100 (P21S) topping with OCW, but I seemed to have durability issues and very minor streaking. The Natty's seemed to eliminate the streaking. As for durability, I have no clue yet.

BTW, I have AIO + SGx2 under the Natty's. :bigups

Your truck looks great!! I wanted a Tacoma so bad, but the deals on the Tundras were so tempting, I took one home!! I ended up with a Tundra for less money than the Tacoma.

When your talking about spit shining cars, you just mean doing a layer of wax/sealant and then light misting with a qd or spray and buffing off right? I had two layers of EX-P buffed off with OCW, then two layers of Natty's Blue buffed off with Poorboy's QW+ on my white suv. Same as you said, never seen white look so deep and watery. Usually white just has a decent "glow/shine" to it.

That is the way I understand it. I always waited about a day before applying OCW over Wax, this is the first time I followed up with OCW immediately after the wax. I am quite impressed. Now if the durability holds up, we may have a winner.

Well it's been storming here for about 2-3 weeks on and off along with hot weather, and the truck still looks like the day I waxed it. Dirt just comes right off in the rain, and 10-15 minutes later when I get to the office it basically looks like I just cleaned it all nice and dry. Beads like hell too, found myself staring at the hood the other day while driving watching water droplets come right off, they just couldn't hold on :grinno:

My technique was to spray some OCW, rub in the P21S until the wax is gone, wipe off and then admire the shine :hifive:
