Just came across a new product here its called 'Fix-up' touch up pen. Its a diferent pen in the sense that the tip is not nylon or the felt type material but rather its a metal point, not a ball, but more like a corse needle that act as the main valve. The body is flexible like a liquid paper pencil which allows you to control the flow. Also both the clear and the base is mixed into one, not like the nissan or toyota pens where one end is the clear and the other the base. I don't know for you guys... but everytime i apply the clear with one of those i can never prevent it from messing up the base, so 9 out 10 times i just do the base and end up polishing :waxing: to get a gloss finish. However, i always wanted to get a pen with the clear in it just like the gm bottles the get the shine first hand specialy to the smaller repairs.
I ordered one online and got to try it this weekend. Took only 2 days for delivery..
I got to say i was curious to see it the paint matched and i'm glad to report it was perfect. I have a metallic paint and did not see any darkning of the flakes on application. I was able to do finer small rock chip repair with this pen with alot less effort during application than with the nissan pen. Just one push on the tip and i got a pin size drop that filled-up the chip nicely. Although i am a bit reluctant at doing large area scratches, due to the metal tip, i have to say this feel more like using a match stick or a toothpick than a marker.
Just tought i'd share my experience with this product. Check out their website at Fix-Up ©
