We drove 350 miles to Effingham, Illinois for the 35th annual Corvette Fun Fest this weekend.

The deals on exhaust that were too good to pass up!!!

These are Mid-America Cruiser "Bullets".

Deep, throaty, and at WOT... LOUD!:D

I'll post more pics of Fun Fest tomorrow.

Those look killer! I'm sure you'll keep em clean. Dudes, look at the inside of his wheels AFTER A DRIVE!!! (You're a sick man, Luster. I love it!)

Bill, any noticeable performance gains?

I drove home 5.5 hours in the RAIN yesterday, so I spent this morning Cleaning and Polishing that new exhaust!!!!

(Glad I did... the installers left some finger-prints on the muffs!!!:drool5::drool5::drool5:)

True... keeping the inside wheel "barrels" super clean is kind of my trademark.:drool5:

As for performance gains... The marketeers tell you that the Cold air "power duct' intake will give you 15-20 hp and another 15 hp for the exhaust... So even if I claim half of that... it's still 17 hp!

The answer is YES! Obvious improvement in throttle response....:thumbup::thumbup:

Looks good Bill. Gotta love the "show" deals. Have you ever been to Corvettes at Carlisle?

Never been to Carlisle, but I'm definitely up for it!

Yeah, if you figure the 20% discount, no shipping, installation for a cheap discounted price... it was almost half price!:driving::driving::driving:

It's the show of all shows for Corvettes I think. I used to do the all truck nationals show and it was huge! My buddy goes to the Corvettes at Carlisle show and said it is unreal also. You should definitely try to make that one. Best thing to do is buy a fun field pass if you dont want to show, that way you can drive into the grounds and you have your car there. No need to pay the entrance fee to walk the grounds and also you don't have to pay to park. Works out very well!!

Looks great Bill!

Do you have a ram air setup as well?

I had a Vara Ram intake on my 03' Z06 and gained 18rwhp on the dyno (standing still). Very noticeable difference for not a lot of $$. I also installed a 160 degree thermostat and wired up a fan switch which made the car run a lot cooler. C5 Vette's seem to run so much better in the cooler weather...

Great looking Vette!

Thanks..... Yeah, I have the "Halltech Venom" Cold Air System... Huge K&N style oval filter, wide mouth power duct... relocates the MAF sensor to the back, near the throttle body... NO Codes!

Between the Halltech and the low restriction exhaust, I'm guessing 25hp minumum. Definitely a big difference in throttle response!

Sounds like your +17 hp gain is way too low. Go grab some dyno time and you'll be giddy as a schoolgirl. I'm guessing just the sound of that thing adds 20+!!!

I dearly do love the stainless steel look. Plus it's a mod that makes more power. A real eye-catcher.

When the time comes, I've got my eye on a whole new stainless exhaust system [engine to tail pipes] from Time Valve for my old Benz. Lifetime guarantee and the cost is less than HALF of what the OEM replacement parts would cost. MB wants neary $4,500 for an OEM exhaust from the headers on back. YEESH! :scared:
