New SRT8 on the way.

I'm getting a new Chrysler 300 SRT8 soon,it's a bright silver metallic color. I'm undecided between the Klasse/Sonus or the FinishKare product groups. My priorities are- Durability and Ease of use. I threw out all of my old stuff except Zymol car wash and Griot's Speed Shine and Clay. I'll give those to my neighbor,if necessary. I have a PC buffer, but I enjoy detailing by hand. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you. I sure have learned alot from the forums here.

 I vote for the FK1. For anti-static super slickness.

300 (or 215 as a AIO sub)

2685 (skipable)

my go-to combo for silver is and will be AIO followed by a layer (or more) of UPP. the metallic flake pop and paint brightness from this combo just makes silver look amazing.

I'd use either AIO/Prime, then UPP and call it good. Get some UPPS to renew the slickness after washing and some UGE for normal QD duty and you'll be set. It will be super easy and look and feel great. UPP, AJ, and Z2Pro all look great on silver, but I am partial to UPP lately because I have become quite lazy. I have never seen the hood on my machine silver metallic Corvette shimmer like it does with just UPP. Zaino is nice and shiny, yes, but UPP is just more pleasing to my eyes.

I wouldn't give up on that Speed Shine just yet... it's become one of my very favorites due to its thicker consistency, I tend to use it more after driving the car when there is moderate dust accumulation. I'll use Quik Shine, Adam's, 425, Sonus, UGE, etc. just to add some gloss, but Speed Shine is quickly becoming one of my go-to QDs. It seems like its thickness will help suspend more dust/dirt thus reducing the chance of marring. Of course, I'm no expert :dance

I have the black Charger SRT8....and man is it hard to keep clean! (those silvers are SHARP when clean and shiny)

Anyway, upon delivery of my Charger, I did a wash, sonus claybar, rinse, dry, Klasse AIO, Klasse SG, followed by 1 coat of SG every week for 3 coats, now topped with Menzerna High Gloss Acrylic Shield after the weekly wash....nice wet shiny look. For the wheels, since I KNOW they get a lot of brake dust, you can either do some more AIO/SG, or some Poorboys wheel sealant. No matter what you put on the wheels, they'll get dirty...but the protection you put on will make them easier to clean.

Congrats on the fine selection of vehicle!

I used AIO+UPP for the first time yesterday, and I always thought AIO was easy to use, couldn't belive how easy UPP was both on and off. It was faster than applying a spraywax and easier to buff off also. :bigups

Yeah, UPP is super easy to use and I also love UGE. I think a proper polish, UPPx2, maintained with UGE and UPPS after washing would have to be one of the easiest and best looking combos around.

Ok, thanks, I have to give UGE and UPPS a try now since I like UPP so much. Just what I need, more products, I don't have room for the once I have already :hairpull :D
