New SONUS?

DavidB:

Are you releasing new SONUS products? If so, what's next in the line?

Regards,

Deanski

Dino,

I have a few new products that are finished or nearing completion. I do not have a release date for any of them yet. All of the new products are waiting their turn on packaging.

Sonus Engine Cleaner -- An engine cleaner designed for modern car engine compartments (easy on plastic and rubber).

Sonus Interior Deodorizer -- This is a great smelling product that uses enzime technology to actually kill odors, not mask them.

Sonus Plastic Polish -- Engineererd to polish clear plastic by hand or machine. Also safe on window tint film.

Sonus Acrylic Sealant -- A Klasse-like product that does not have the application flaws and lasts 3-4 times longer. No cleaners... a pure sealant.

Sonus Carnauba Paste Sealant -- A P21S-like carnauba wax fortified with polymers that will not burn off or wash away. Lasts 3-4 times longer than P21S, but applies with the same ease (maybe easier) and creates the same wet-look shine. Compatible as a top coat over Sonus Acrylic Sealant.

Sonus ScratchBuster Foam Pad -- 4" pad in the orange Swisstex foam with our "Polishing Pocket" cut in the face. Same thickness as the SwirlBuster pad, allowing pressure to be applied to properly work the polish.

Sonus Micro Foam Pads -- A 2.5" foam pad series and drill backing plate for polishing plastic and removing scratches in paint with a cordless drill.

Everything else is TOP SECRET until release time. :D

David,

Looks like the line is expanding!! :grinno:

Formulate a plastic polish/conditioner for paint films and you should have a winner! These new films are unusual, softer, and when warm, MF fibers stick to them like mad! I don't know of anything that can improve or repair these films since they are so soft.

Engine Cleaner: Anything close to the "Euro" versions will be nice. Besides if it's really bad, APC+ or anything else like it will remove the really nasty stuff. But one for "casual" cleaning is a good start!!

Sealants: Never can have enough of them!!:chuckle:

Wax: Added protection for those still not willing to go full sealant or just have to have that can in the hand...Good idea, as long as it makes it nice and deep/wet looking as other waxes do, but adds that longevity factor into it.

Scratchbuster? That must be some pad!! Careful or you'll get some novice with a PC or rotary and one thinking they can remove a deep scratch. Scratch is gone...along with the clearcoat, base coat and primer..:chuckle: On a serious note, a good aggresive foam pad that can have the same cutting level as wool w/o the haze or risk of burning is a good thing to look at. Some foam pads claiming to be cutting pads are just not right, nor do they finish well even with finer compounds/polish.

Getting ready to pull the Porsche into the lifts for a full detail one day. It will be top to bottom, and that's a whole lot of bottom under the car! The pan will be done along with all suspension etc.(Sonus Motor Kote) Finish needs work, damn black is softer than usual for Porsche, look at it the wrong way and it will marr up on you. Need to touch-up a few rock chips as well.

Still loving the Sonus Leather Conditioner! Really like the feel of the leather after treatment, feels non-slip. Best is still opening the door and getting that new Porsche leather smell again w/o additives to overpower it.

As for the "Top Secret" stuff....I'll keep an eye out.:hm

Regards,

Dino

Are any of the old products going to get new versions?

Only one, the Sonus Gloss Shampoo. Finally figure out how to get the killer suds, easy rinsing and still have a glossing agent. It will be phased in as the current batch is depleated.

Sonus Micro Foam Pads -- A 2.5" foam pad series and drill backing plate for polishing plastic and removing scratches in paint with a cordless drill.

Some of the air buffers we use have 2" backing plates, so I am very interested in these!!

Oh lovely. I have 4 inch CCS pads and LC plate on the way for my PC and rotary but a 2.5 would be cool as well.

Any update on the release date of these products? I've been holding off purchasing some products to try these out. :2thumbs:

All of these items are still on my release sheet for this year... as you can imagine, I have had my hands full with the two new product lines.

A couple of these products will go into the UDM product line first (e.g., the polish and sealant products). A few products will be shared between the two lines, with the only difference being packaging. The packaging for the UDM polishes is nearly complete.
