It is just my personal preference to want a two-seat vehicle of the Sky's size to be more like my old '93 MR2 turbo. It had 200 hp and a 0-60 time of ~ 6.5 seconds. What's wrong with a little more power/performance from a decent starting package?

Get a used Porsche Boxster. Mid-engine design, incredible handling with a very sorted and capable chassis and suspension. 2000+ models have more than 217 hp and 195 ft/lbs. of torque in a nice torque curve. Low mileage 2000 models can be easily found in the low 20’s (or higher miles in the teens). The BoxsterS steps up the HP to around 250 and 225 ft/lbs. of torque in a sub 3000 lbs. car. Low mileage 2000 S’s can be had for mid to high 20’s with higher mileage in the lower 20’s.
