I'm gonna give the van a try. Yesterday, I just picked up an '08 diesel SPrinter. Long wheel base with plenty of room to stand up. Kinda narrow but, it has dual wheels in the rear, which should help with a full water tank. Gonna add this to our fleet in thoughts of replacing trailers with the vans. Keep you posted!!

Gonna be spending some jack on the interior before the exterior. Took it over to get an estimate to have the interior setup - bulkhead to seperate very rear for toolbox and buffer/pad storage - center for tank and press washer and Honda genny. Looking at about $4550 for build out, black outdoor carpet on ceiling and bulkheads, rubberized flooring.

Might be my next home;)

sounds like the way to go... Get it stickered up soon

My father-in-Law has had 2 Sprinters for his business. He will never go back to full size light duty vans again. His vehicles are loaded with cabinets and lock smithing equipment, and the Sprinter still returns at least 22mpg and has proven very durable.

He had full size vans (Dodge, Ford, and GM) and had to replace rear ends, transmissions and various suspension pieces on a semi-frequent basis. No more problem like that with his Sprinters.

nice! i was looking at one for m photography business. there is enough space in there for me to setup a mobile photo editing desk with dual screens and printer

The Sprinter in the photo looks to be an 07, no? New body styling for 08... T1N to NCV3

I have been detailing out of a 2008 144" Wheelbase Sprinter for 10k miles. Absolutely great vehicle. Santa Barbara/Montecito roads and driveways are narrow, a trailer was never an option. When I keep my foot out of it I get 16+ mpg with LOTS of pounds. I towed 2000 lbs to San Diego in March and got 19.5 mpg... explain that one!

I've been detailing out of my Sprinter for a year now. I love it. Other detailers that see me out and about stare with jealousy. :D

Man, this is going to be an expensive venture! $4500 just for the buildout. Have to get a new tank - my existing is too big/wide - and having to route exhaust, plumbing, etc. It's gonna look cool!!!

Sprinter is such an odd vehicle. I can almost stand completely up straight in it (I am 6'3") and it has no seats in the back. I can see where it would make a great detailing rig, I hope it works out for you.

Okay, change of direction. I am now installing red and black checkered Race Deck flooring in the Sprinter. Gonna strategically place some polished alum diamond plate around the interior. Gonna keep the exterior pretty quiet - company name on the side and web addy w/ phone along the bottom. I've never really gotten anything but tire kickers on drive bys. But, I have had people stop and look into my trailer who were suitably impressed and used me. So, that's the route I'm gonna go with this project.

Keep you all posted as it develops.
