New Product Review : CG ONE

lambo : after messin' with it some more today I got it down to

about two spritzes per door size panel on a lightly soiled surface.

The premise I'm running with is to spread the product thin and even

with a light touch and let the product go to work encapsulating the dirt.

Wait for it to haze , then buff with a nice plush MF.

Of course , you may have to adjust for more heavily soiled surfaces.

Used it on my mother-in-law's '07 Accord today. It had been washed

a couple days ago , so it just had light dust and dirt. The above method

seemed to work well.

Not too shabby , eh?

Looks great, I used it on my Mazda Protege 5, flint mica in color, and HEAVY metallic.

I previously used primarily Zaino on it, and when I used ONE on it, it slightly dulled the metallic, but I think it is only because Zaino amplifies it X100!!! So, the ONE probably just showed the true metallic content, LOL.

Shake WELL, you can see something gathering on the bottom, spray a couple of spritzes on a panel, I let it sit there for just about 5-10 seconds to encapsulate dirt, then spread it all over the panel with a microfiber towel. Then I let it haze up, and buff off with another microfiber.

What I notice about it, is that it leaves a smooth, obviously waxed surface. It feels pretty wierd (the paint), feels smooth with a quick, light touch, however if you move your finger over it slowly, with moderate pressure, it feels almost as if you could remove the wax!! Picture it like a car that was painted, cured for a day, then you felt the paint, not sticky, or gooey, but rather, smooth, and SLIGHTLY tacky.

I put it on, let it "cure", then laid over a layer of Zaino Clear Seal, so, we shall see how long it lasts......

i havent talked too much about ONE as i wasnt sure how much i could talk about it at the time i got my samples...but now that the cat is out of the bag i can tell you right now that this will replace all my qd's and waterless washes....i did a clients car with "ONE" in a parking lot and he came back to check on me while shopping and i had not gotten to the waxing step..i just finished the interior and did a wash with ONE.... but he was like "Wow...you already finished waxing my car?" ....handed me my fifty bucks and i was off doing my next car...i still gave his car a spritz down with CG blitz sealant anyway when he left to go shopping but definitely great results....its my favorite product on my detailing shelf....glad i was able to get a hold of a gallon of this stuff...as far as usage...one heavy or two light spritzes per panel...i would say a hood i divide into three sections...

Mark from CG told me the stuff gathering on the bottom is clay, which is used to polish the finish. He said this product would likely remove any existing wax or polymers from the surface.
