New Paint, Guide me

Well I am going to pick up my 2003 BLACK:bounce Cobra out of the body shop tomorrow and wanted some guidance on how to car for new paint. I have read a good deal about letting the paint cure over 30 days. I have done a couple searches but just wanted to hear your opinions on how to protect the new paint, if there is actually any different way to care for it.

In my opinion, the way you care for new paint should be no different than the way you care for OEM paint.

While I, OTOH, wait for at least 90 days before waxing/sealing, using Meguiar's #5 in the meantime.

I dunno...I've had to educate a *LOT* of painters over the years. Many never read the manufacturers info in its entirety. FWIW, the two painters I use these days read the same info I did, and they both agree with my decision to wait.



IMO the people who really know are the people who make/test/etc. the paint, not the guy who sprays it.
