New pads

Lack of oxygen up here
Ive taken good care of my LC pads for a few years nows but it is time to buy some more after shredding a couple over the weekend. What pads are "in" nowadays? Its been so long, there has to be some new and improved pad technology that I dont know about...

So what should I buy for my PC?

I've been using cyclo 4" pads from Danase on my PC for light polishing and LSP's, which I like alot. If I need moderate to heavy cutting, I break out the rotary anyway.

The 5" LCM CCS pads have been a very hot seller.

Very good pads...I just used them with Menzerna polishes and they worked very good...I started with my Edge pads and it seemed like things were going slow..I switched over to the CCS pads from Danase and they started to cut right away...I am more than happy with those pads...they will be my pad of choice now...they actually rotate on the PC since they are smaller even with downward pressure...

I used them with the rotary also on some scratches from the dog jumping up on the truck...they worked great...I plan on another order just incase they ever stop making them...lol....

I am out of orange and white but they should be in today or tomorrow. If you want to order them I will just ship them the second they come in.

Now I have to order another backing plate. What do I need for the 5" pads? You sure this ain't a marketing scheme aimed at making me spend more dollars:banned:

I use a 5" (4-7/8") plate but you have to be VERY careful not to let that plate smack anything.

All my 5" CCS pads are from Danase! I love them! I actually need to order a few more now that you mention it.......:hmph:

A big one !!! I'll place the order Bob, please hold my other order if it hasnt shipped already...arrrgghhh.. Would the 3 1/2 plate be ideal for the 5 " pads?

3.5" or 5" plates. It depends on how comfortable you are with only having 1/16" "safety" zone between the 5" plate and the edge of the pad. :) In the comments box of the store checkout leave me a note to ship with your other order.

The 3 1/2 PC plate works fine with the Danase pads....I use the 4 3/4 plate on the rotary and the 3.5 on the PC...I finish off all the close parts with the PC...and use the rotary for all the flat panels ....
