I used it yesterday and all that I can say is that is is pretty slick. The Teflon must do something. :chuckle:

If Optimum was marketing the OID proclaiming the wonders of Teflon, yeah. But they aren't.

Thanks! I never had this depth with Opti-Seal alone. I'm really sold on the New OCW.



I've had this car for almost a year and have managed to keep the finish swirl-free. When I purchased this car, I told the dealer to just remove the protective plastic and forget the initial wash.



Since purchase, I have exclusively used ONR to wash my LS every other week and have never needed to polish my car to keep it swirl-free. Of course with a silver car, you need to look very carefully at an angle in sunlight to be sure that there are no swirls. IMHO, I think ONR is the best car product I have ever used!
 
I agree i also use ONR on my mdx but still do conventional washes during the summer. I agree on certain lighting to see swirls the lighting at my work will show marring/swirling but under halogens I cant see them. I still polish the truck once a year to make sure.





I let my dealer wash ONCE and they hacked it up never again!

Yeah...I've tried finding the swirls but I just don't see them. It's hard to polish out what I can't see ;-)



I was worried when I started using ONR, but the results of a swirl-free finish after a year serves as my own proof that ONR works.



About dealers hacking up a car....LOL... I have seen it happen at the dealer first hand. I really like my local Lexus dealer for their customer service and competency in servicing my car. However, most dealers do not properly wash cars. Even though my dealer provides a "hand wash", they use rough rags to wash and dry. Their soap will certainly take the dirt off your paint along with your LSP. Just not a good idea to let a car dealer wash your car. When I get my car serviced, I always place a "please no wash" sign in my car.



Most people must not notice or care about swirls, because I find that quite a few cars on dealer lots have plenty of swirls. I can't imagine buying a new car that comes standard with swirl marks!
 
I did a detail on a vette last week and took the car under halogens and showed him the swirls he didnt care. According to him the paint is perefect



Such is life :-)
