Soo being a new member i thought i would show off my little pride and joy with some pics :)

The first few are how it looked after I had first purchased it, and the last two are after i have given it a good polishing (my first time too).

She's a 1994 Saab 9000 CSE 2.3L Turbo. I'm not going to show you the interior just yet, as I haven't had time to properly detail it yet.

I actually did this last fall, and am thinking it needs a new polish because i brought it through a Mobil Lazer Wash a few times this winter and now the paint looks oxidized again :nomore: And i Will NEVER use it again.

I've also got a few rust spots that i need some advice to tackle, but i wont do that until the temperature around here hits at least 60 degrees.

Anyways, here she is, when i bought her, This was after a washing.

Not really any nasty swirl marks or spidering, but just dull. Not really any reflections. More of a construction paper red.

After:

This was After I spend 5 hours oh polishing. Wish i knew about this place back then. I settled on a $2.00 container of turtle wax polishing compound, and have an electric buffer my mom randomly won at an auction (low speed and pad slips easily. Cant imagine i could burn any paint with it). I really didn't know what to do when i went about starting it, but it all turned out fantastic (comparatively, my eye is a little more discerning now). Unfortunately all i had back then was a cruddy HP camera, but now I have a nice 8 MP SLR-Like Kodak that takes amazing pic's and I'll post again after her spring polishing, and after following some more tips on this site. Shes gonna look like new again before too long.

also, it embarrasses me to say that this time last year i was also using one of those cheap buffers on my car:cry:

Have you looked into a good trim restorer? It would take that car a whole step and then some further.

I've tried mothers back to black but after is rains it washes away :( What did you have in mind, something that would stick around a bit longer? I was thinking of just repainting all of the trim getting it to be a really deep black, with some krylon plastics paint? or will that look bad.

Nice job. The neighbor kid next door has one of those ,atleast it looks like it, except its a hatch back it looks like it could be in good shape but it hasn't been polished for as long as I have seen him drive it.

Before painting the trim you could try cleaning it with isopropyl alcohol, this gets rid of any old wax and stuff, use a toothbrush or something like that to scrub it. This allows the trim restorer to work properly.

I've always liked that car btw.

I wouldn't recommend it. Try a product called Black Wow, it's like Back To Black but it's far more effective. That, or Poorboy's Trim Restorer.
