Hi, everyone. Long-time lurker that just now registered. Have found a lot of good information here already. About time to hop into the water and play a bit.

My car is a 1996 Mazda Miata M-edition, in Starlight Mica Blue finish with a tan top. Minor improvements made on the suspension, lighting, intake, wheels/tires.

I've bounced between Meguiar's products, Zaino and now Pinnacle Souveran paste. Prep with Megs #2, #9, #7 glaze, or Scratch-X for minor work, clay bar.

Currently fighting some hazing from recent shaving of lenses ... you know, removing all those little raised letters that catch wax and whatnot. Still a light haze and not having good luck with the final polish so the lenses are crystal clear.

Have yet to find a reliable rejuvenator of black trim.

Otherwise, everything's great! Nice to meet everyone.

Hi OceanRagtop,

Welcome and good to see you joining the fold.

Try Meg #10/17 combo on your lenses. That should give you a good final polish.

~One man’s opinion~

Autoglym Bumper Black (available from this site now, along with the other IMHO excellent Autoglym products :up )

Experience unshared; is knowledge wasted…/

Yes welcome to the sight.

Meguiars 10/and 17 kit plus Plexus or the Renovo plastic polish.

For trim you could use Black Again or 303 Aerospace.

When using Souveran also use the Crystal Mist Detail Spray in

between waxings, tends to extend the life of the wax and the gloss.

Yup. Have that. Did another couple of applications, today. Apparently, these are very mild and simply need more patience. The clarity is starting to show.

I've been using 303; while it's a good protectant, it does not rejuvenate. I've got a bit of Forever Black left and will try that over the next couple of weeks. If no real change, perhaps Autoglym is next.

Thanks, all. :xyxthumbs

Meguiar's 10 & 17 applied by hand, so it's taking much longer (of course). Didn't realize how much, though. Went over the rear clusters another 10mins each side. Now, they're nearly clear. Yaaaay!

Hm. Probably another good use for a Porter Cable, eh? I know, I know.
