Hello All,
First of all, I'd like to say that this is the best car forum I have found online and that I hope to learn a lot from everyone on here. I've read a bunch of threads on the forums the last few days, but have become even more confused than I was before.
A little about myself and my car, I'm 31 and live NE of Dallas and have a Silver 2008 G35 that's a little more than a year old that's just under the 10K mark. I love my car, it's a lot of fun to drive and try to take care of it.
Unfortunately, I haven't taken the best car of the paint / finish. Although I do wash it regularly, I haven't waxed the car in the year plus that I've had it. I'm hoping you guys can help.
I've learned a lot about clay bars and know that I need to wash my car, dry it and then run my fingers over the paint to see if the car needs claying. I think I know how to clay, I've watched a couple of videos, but after the claying process is where my questions start. I'll stop here since this isn't the detailing forum, any help here would be appreciated.
If you guys can help me with my questions, I'll post them in my reply, otherwise I'll try to find them in the detailing forum.
I'm looking forward to learning a lot on here and getting (and keeping) my G looking like new again.
Thanks,
NTXG35
