Hello all,

I'm currently a college student in the "floating" category. I've been thinking about many career options and detailing is currently a possibility I'm very interested in. I've just started on doing some of my own research, and learning much as I go along. I'm pondering the idea of starting a full-time business in this area, and am wanting to get a very good knowledge and practice underway if I do decide to go through with the idea.

Anyways, that's really why I've joined. I see that there's a superb amount of information here and many other websites. I encourage all thoughts, positive and negative and would be glad to hear from other people about their ideas, thoughts, etc. If you know of any great "beginner" links for me to check out that I might have missed so far, please feel free to point me in the right direction.

Thanks,

David K.

Hello David. My recommendation would be to first go up to the "How To" section. That has numerous articles written by DavidB which are great for beginners. After reading that, read this thread by Scottwax http://www.autopia.org/forum/car-de...members-really-need-know-about-detailing.html

That should be a couple hours worth of reading to get you started. After reading all of that, you should have the basic idea and now know how to search the boards efficiently for answers to specific questions and if you can't find them there, ask the board.
