The lip more than likely has a clear coat on it. Just seal it with OS.

The DPE’s are huge on the Bavarian’s here in the NYC tri-state. Seems it’s a popular rim on all the Bimmer forums/sites too. Make sure you find out how they’re finished clear-coat wise as stated before, and listen to what they say about care and maintenance for your warrantee.

As for my first comment ... I’m never upset at anyone’s post or how they get attention to it, it was my attempt at a humoristic response ... so never take anything I say as a scolding ... I’m just not that guy. Hope I didn’t put you off.

Although ... I’m kind of serious about a rolling seat ... I don’t know anyone who uses them professionally, or anything with easy rolling wheels that might get accidentally rolled into a car with a tug on an extension cord or hose. My team might use knee pads, or even rubber mats. We keep the rolling items away from the car.

Seems you got a lot of details from the talent found on this site, and it’s all good. Good luck with your first detail.

Thanks for the response, I didn't take it harsh, I never take anything on the interweb as more then a light joke... Humor makes the work day get by easier, isn't that what they say? Anyways, I was just asking, not like I need one about a seat anyways.. I'm just a college student so a little hard work of bending isn't that bad? right?

Yeah, DPEs are HUGE on BMW sites/forums, they ar a great wheel.. I personally know the owner(s), so I'll make sure to see what finish and let you guys know for sure...
