New M105/M205 tag team on a GMC 2500HD

One question on the platforms...do you feel like you have sure footing on them? I have used step stools and small laders to do the hoods on big trucks, but I always feel uneasy on them.

Thanks. I also plan to burn CD's with the before and after pics too. (another idea a picked up from a member on MOL) I may also add a word document explaining proper washing and waxing techniques as well as the correct items to buy. ;)
 
Easier than buring a bunch of CD's is simply get a flash drive. You can get an 8 gig flash drive for less than a spool of CD's these days and it's all right there on your key chain.

Yeah, but that would get expensive if I give them the flash drives. ;)

totally different then a step stool



the feet are wide and it is very stable

there is a nice area to walk around on



it on only feels like a small ladder when you are getting on/off

after that it's almost like standing on the ground(just don't step too far)



thay are cheap, light, fold up to a good size, make a great seat or

workbench for all your stuff
 
The platform is an aluminum thing - about 4 foot long, 1 foot wide and mine has extensions on the legs that take it from 20" to 30 something. All these measurements are my best guess at this point, I'm at work and it's at home. It costs around $40 if my memory is right. I think it's a life saver on tall things, oh - did I mention that I'm 5' 9" and that limits my reach too, so I need it!
 
Sounds like a goood b-day gift for my girl to buy me. ;)



At the very least it would come in handy with home remodleing projects.

I've never had any issues with footing on mine, but Accumulator suggested using that tape that boaters use on their boarding laders to make it more non-slip. Just an idea.
