hey folks, today was my last day at the dealership i work at. starting monday i will be working for one the biggest dealer networks in my area. the owner has pontiac/buick/gmc. hummer/saab, volkswagon, and nissan/infiniti. i will be doing reconditioning on the trade ins and pdr. the odd time i may have to do new car deliveries, but hey want me on the recons and dents mostly. the place i just left had about17 employees, the new place has around 140 so no more double job duty. they sell over 300 cars a month so there should be plenty of dents to make bouns on and NO MORE stinky undercoat jobs to do. i sure won't miss that. alot more work, bonus oppurtunity and growth. couldn't say no.

Congratulations on your new job!

Am always envious when someone takes on a new job that they are excited about. Have been doing the same thing for almost thirty years and with the same company for the last fouteen years. Soon to retire but can still remember and feel the excitement of something new to look forward to.

Good Luck!!

Which dealer group is it if you don't mind me asking?

gus revenberg's in windsor, ontario. he has a strip with all the dealerships in a row. i will be working out of the volkswagon building, but doing work for all of the dealerships.

Very nice. I have heard of him but don't know much about him. I used to know a guy that was UCM at one of the big GM stores in Windsor but don't know which one (his name was Paul Griffiths). You aren't too far from us in London and it's nice to see some fellow Canadians on the net. Good luck with the new job!

actually i worked with paul griffiths at essex auto sales where i just left. great guy. the general manager at e.a.s came from jerome taylor's in windsor when jerome bought e.a.s. his name is paul mifsud and used to work an brian finch's. good guy to work for. strict but fair. is this scott's shine shop? i have heard of your palce. great reputation.

Yes this is Scott. I used to have some pretty wild times with Paul and crew in my younger days as he is a good friend of a friend from Kingsville. Nice to hear that he is still doing well.

i go to london quite often. i will have to stop in. are you open saturdays or just during the week?
We are open Saturdays (usually 9-3) but I try to get out of there earlier to give myself and my guys a break because it has been so damn hot and super busy. You are welcome to stop in for a chat anytime you are in town.
