Just comes with membership growth, I've seen it on every board I visit as they continue to grow.

This is not new. When people join with an agenda, it always spells trouble. For the most part, everyone is here to make friends, learn and share.
 
My secret agenda is to unseat DavidB as reigning Autopia King....muuhahahaha



I mean, what kinda of car guy puts Turbo wheels on a Cayman? Ludicrous (or Ludacris, depending on what generation you grew up in...)





Petty = "Why would they improve a formula that lasts six months that I get three weeks durability out of?"



Truth without pettiness = "I don't like said product. It doesn't last near as long as they say it does."

If its hard to see the difference in these 2 statements, you might need a english refresher course, and the subtleties of our language. Regardless of what people excuse, tone does come accross the internet in a certain way...

Ahhhh Tactfulness, how refreshing! I totally agree. I find myself rewording things so they have no bite because I appreciate everyones input. I was offending by the way VA voiced his opinion and he wasn't even talking to me. Thanks for watching out for those of us who are here to make friends and learn David.
 
after you're here long enough, you begin to realize which members have ulterior motives to their posts. The 2 week timeout will give him some time to wash all their Zaino shirts in his washing machina.

Nowhere on Optimum's site do I see a 6 month durability claim.



" A combination of high-grade Carnauba wax, sealant polymers and UV inhibitors forms a protective layer on the painted surface to protect the paint from sun damage and environmental elements for up to 5 months.



"Up to" means what it sounds like. Under optimum conditions, you can expect up to 5 months durability. Obviously, in areas with a lot of industrial fallout, acid rain, etc, durability will be less, just like it is with other products.



Why change the product? I guess the good doctor found ways to improve on the original formula.
 
I dont care about this debate, I WANT THE NEW OCW, NOW! Seriously, hurry up on the new stuff, I need another Gallon and I cant wait to see how they improved an already great product. Oh, and get me the QD NOW too!

OCW2!!! Now if only there was someone in this thread (Scott :) ) who could give us autopians a hint (samples :) ) of this new OCW to hold us over until purchasing is available. I kid, I kid...I know you probably dont have alot on hand...
 
I don't have enough of either the new OCW or detail spray on hand to give out samples, if I did, I would. I am hoping what I have will hold out until my distributor has them in stock.



I have tested several versions of each over the last several months. The best of each I tried weren't even the last 'tweaked" versions I got. I don't know what results the others who test got, but the final versions of each I got were formulations more towards the middle of development than the end. Basically, more is not always better.
 
I frequent the Optimum forum and here's the latest response I received by Dr. G, the founder of Optimum:



As for the new products, there are four that are ready for production. The hold up is for the artwork to be completed. These include: the new Car Wax, Instant Detailer, Tire Gel (high gloss), and Power Clean (tire & wheel cleaner that can be used on all automotive surfaces). We will offer these as soon as the labels are completed and I hope that these products will meet the performance requirements that you all have. Let me know if I can be of further assistance. Thank you.

I believe sometime in Q1 is the projected time frame.
 
I love OCW, the stuff is amazing. I can't wait to try the new version, even though I already have too many products I don't use...........



How does the dedicated QD compare to ONR at QD strength?

It has been brought to my attention that Dent's and Detail's is partners with Anthony Orosco and profits from Optimum. Wouldn't that make any posts regarding Optimum shilling, and against forum rules?

I think this is more a personal attack than anything I have seen on this post. I understand your point and think that people on this forum get a little bent out of shape, but telling somebody that they need more sex to fix their "attitude" is no better then the things you are speaking against.
 
First off i have been on this board for a few years and everything has been peaceful until a few months ago. I always respected this site because it didn't have and also didn't put up with the ******** that is found on other sites.



Then the bashing started. People, realize you do not know each other, the fact is that we detail, as a common, we are here to learn and express ourselves.



When someone gets personal with "our" stage name, it becomes personal. Whether justified or not.



OCW lasted 6 weeks on my car, not 5 months, i expected that as i have been in the business for years, maybe someone might learn from that experience.



Z products are top notch but i have had water spot problems with them, experience gained.



The list goes on.



Locking horns only leads to online enemy's, childish.



Lets get back to helping people and showing off our work.

I have my own auto recon company and Anthony has his. I dont sell Optimum products Anthony dose. We partner up on many jobs. I dont profit from his product sales.

Just because you talked to David at the MTE show doesn't mean you know me.



If I was pushing Optimum products I would also be telling people about the new wheel cleaner, APC called Power Clean, carpet cleaner and water spot remover. I made mention of the QD because it excites me and I get a kick out of using it.



Sorry your partner or buddy got put in timeout. I didn't make him type the phrases he did.



If I am baned it will be because I chose to stand behind one product producer. I do use a couple other products but not the entire line.



Not to many people here can say that. They change products like they change underwear.

When I tried the Spray Wax 4 years ago I thought that QD's were a waste of money.

I mean why would you have a QD and a spray wax?

Then I was sent the beta sample of the OQD. It was good and I gave my recommendations as to what I thought would make it better. The final product is perfect. It is very slick and will make even the Poli-Seal slicker with out making it look oily. No Rinse could never be this slick.



When I tested this product I used it on perfect paint and not so perfect paint.

It makes unprotected paint feel just waxed.

Here is an interesting finding. On several cars that I have washed and then applied the Qd too I thought the paint was very close to contaminant free. Touching the paint after the QD was applied the slickness magnified the stuff bonded to the paint and made it feel like the car ws parked next to the 405 fwy in southern California for a year!



It's only QD but man I love this stuff.

He is my buddy, but he shouldn't have typed what he did. That has nothing to do with you. Would you deny you have recieved Optimum products for free?

If you are banned its because you have shilled products which is against forum policy, nothing more, nothing less.
