Hey everyone, it's neat to see all these cars being brought back to life. I am by no means an expert (like some I've seen on this site), but I think I can do a pretty good detail job.
So I spent pretty much all day getting the Max ready for Spring/Summer. The poor car had a bad winter and didn't get any TLC.
So here are the steps I took:
1) Washed it down with Zaino wash (car had NO WAX on it, water wasn't beading at all). So no Dawn wash.
2) Clay barred the whole car with Meguairs products.
3) Used Pinnacle Advanced Swirl Remover with the PC7424.
4) Used 3M Finesse-It Polish with the PC7424.
5) 1 Coat of Z5 (w/ZFX).
6) 1 Coat of Z2 (w/ZFX).
7) Spray down with Z6.
8) 1 Coat of Z2 (w/ZFX).
9) Final spray down with Z6.
Now some pics:
The "before's" aren't that great, but you can see the swirls and dirt.
This is during the process after step 4 above.
