Hi all!

I am new here. I've found this forum with tons of value information:bounce . It was my first PC detail. I've bought the new PC w/ Wolfgang kit from autogeek.net couple weeks ago. This morning I finally got the chance to detail my 2007 Lexus IS. Since I got the car like 3 months ago so the paint doesn't need any correction but I've decided to try WG Total Swirl Remover to brighten up the paint. Sorry no before pics. After all, the detail went great except for the vibration when the PC was on speed 4  I guess I need to get the 6" counterweight ? Thanks for any feedbacks!

Thanks guys! I found that the Wolfgang Sealant is very easy to remove. I think it is the only sealant comes close to carbuna wax in term of depth and wet shine.

if you're doing some paint correction, bump the pc to 5 (some like to use it at 6)... nice looking ride! :)

How do you like your IS?

I am considering one, along with the new G sedan, and the TL.

Do you have any complaints at all about the car overall?

By the way, looks outstanding!!

I test drove the IS..if you want amenities and luxury the Lexus is pretty far ahead. The interior is super plush and comforable. It's like fitting into a glove when sitting inside. Power isn't bad either.

335i has a more raw edge but it still comfortable. The acceleration is noticeably better, IMO as well as handling is sharper. Interior not as good, but more spacious. Back seats on the IS are VERY cramped.

Excellent detail, BTW. Car is fantastic either way you look at it.

Well, I am actually looking to stay under $40,000, and the 335 is beyond that. The cars I am considering are the IS250, G35 Sedan, TL. I was going to consider the BMW 3 series, but I have driven one for about 400 miles, and I jjust think the back seat is a bit too small, and while I agree that the IS250 back seat is smaller, I absolutely love the looks of the IS over the BMW. But alas, I think I will probably end up owning the G as it is biggre than all of them, and has more ammenities and power for under $40,000.

Sorry for the thread hijacking.

Thanks for the compliments about my first PC detail. I really enjoy the IS 350. The reason I picked the IS is because its interior design is nice and comfortable. I know that the BMW 335 is in the top of sport sedan caterory but like lambostealth said, it is more expensive than the IS. Lexus will release their new IS-F soon, it will be a good competitor with the BMW 335.

bigal3, I tried to dial to speed 5 but the polisher was really shaking. I think it has to do with the 6.5" pad. I have the counterweight which is only for 5" inch pad. Should I buy the counterweight for 6" pad use? The whole detail took like 6 hours. I wish one day I will be able to know how to use the rotary so I can cut down the time spend on detailing.

hmmm... on my G100/PC, the counterweight says the same thing but works fine with 6.5" pads. if this was your first time using it, you just may not be use to it yet. many on here run it at 6!

Digiman great work, looks amazingly wet. If you haven't already, try removing the handle on the PC, should cut down on vibrations a lot.

I did not use the handle. I already tried the low profile orange 5.5" pad on the polisher and see how it behaves. The vibration was decreased noticeably!
