Hey what's going on everyone? I have been thinking about joining a forum for the longest time now and found detail city and liked the people and layout so chose you guys.

So far I like it a lot, I read a story about a customer whose car was over run by june bugs or something like that so the kids thought it would be a good idea to get them off with a hammer.. haha that would be a badd day.

Anyway I'm stoked to hear from everyone, I'm 20 years old and have been running my business for two years now. I'd like to think I do a damn good detail but I know there is always room to learn.

Pretty much I was hoping that someone could give me some advice on two things, I want to start marketing to car dealerships (you know more of the ma and pa styled dealerships.) I have a complete portfolio, complete rig, and a very professional persona but sort of just wanted to hear others testimonials on presenting correctly. Also my main ambition with my business is to detail race trucks. I have been riding dirt bikes since I was 7 so it's a major passion of mine and any advice to getting a foot into the door to the industry would be AWESOME!

Thanks guys.

Welcome Dynamic Dan to DC!

As far as marketing to you identified target, IMO marketing is marketing. It is identifiying a need and selling them that you can meet those needs and negotiating a pricing schedule that satisfies both parties.
