whats up...Im new to the forums. Great forums by the way. I just bought a 98 4runner that i will be driving from ny to California. Its black and the paint in neglected. The paint has got significant swirls and some scratches that should be removable. I was wondering what you guys think of these two ideas:

Meguairs deep crystal #1
megs dc #2
megs NXT
s100
all with PC

or

Megs #9 or DACP
Megs NXT
S100
all with PC

Thank YOU.

if I use #83 do i need to use the deep crystal system. Feel free to make any suggestions at all. they are very much appreciated.

Why not:

DACP -
#9 - with PC
NXT -

S100 - by hand

Those are what you have, right?

By the way, welcome to the DC!! :)

thats what I was going to get. I fig megs because its easy to get around here and its not too expensive. I read great things about s100. do you suggest otherwise?

If you have the time to order online, I would probably suggest something else (purely a personal choice), but S100 is a fine product and I have had good results with it. My favorite carnauba topper at the moment is Victoria Wax Concours Wax. I love it. And while you're at it, after the wash I'd go ahead and clay if I were you. It will make a world of difference. :bigups

oh yeah i forgot to put that in. i will def be claying. what do you think of the megs stuff?? good or crap??? i guess this will all have to wait until i get to CA because its too cold now. whats the minimum temp for polishing and waxing?

megs #9 is the swirl remover 2.0 right?

I think the Meg's stuff is fine. A lot of people on here use that exclusively and they have some fine looking pictures in their gallery.

You are correct, #9 is the swirl remover 2.0.

I just prefer a last step carnauba by hand. It's personal prefernce I suppose. Meg's ScratchX worked okay for me by hand a while back, but I've never used it by PC. I think it states that it is not to be used by machine on the labeling. It is a workout to use by hand though, so be prepared.
