Hey guys! Nice forum you got here. I am Randall and I live in Cleveland Tennessee. (just outside of Chattanooga) I have always been into detailing cars but I am new to some of the products like microfiber, the Porter Cable polisher and boutique wax and polish.

I recently bought a PC, LC pad kit and a bottle of Mothers Powerpolish and Reflections wax. After reading and lurking here for about 2 weeks I used it and was able to get rid of about 70% of my scratches and swirls but I would like to try some Optimum, Poorboys, or XMT polish.

My truck looks so good that my wife is driving me crazy to detail her car so I am ready to get more practice pretty soon. :D
 
I'm glad you've had such good success as you use your new tools. It's so great to see a vehicle that we look at everyday transformed into something others can't help but look at. Welcome to DC, enjoy the site.

If you have been using OTC products to this point...the ones that you posted will change a lot for you once you start using them

Here is the end result. The Powerpolish didn't have enough bite to get rid of some of the deeper scratches but it would be a great OTC finishing polish. It doesn't dust, has a good worktime and is easy to remove. I think I can go over it with SSR 2.5 on an orange pad, Powerpolish with a white and be 100% happy. The Reflections wax is awesome.
