Hi all,

Just signed up to DetailCity. I've been detailing for some time now and have experience on both the PC and rotary (Makita9227) and a wide range of products bought over the years!! Decided its about tie to sign up and say hi!

My name is Dave, I'm a 23 year old postgraduate Physics student (aiming towards PhD) from Dundee in Scotland, studying at St Andrews (home of golf, but I don't play!).

Here's a couple of pics of my car... my pride and joy, a 2003 Vauxhall Astra 1.8SRi in star silver:

Currently the car is wearing Pinnacle Souveran wax after a full detail with Menzerna polishes (PO106FF, about three months ago) and Clearkote VM which I find highly effective at bringing out silver.

I look forward to being a part of DetailCity. :) :howdy

Love the pics of the beach and there was a car in there somewhere too, no?? JUST KIDDING!! :) The car looks great!! Welcome! You'll find lots of good stuff here. :)

Very much so... I studies my undergraduate degree in St Andrews, and enjoyed being there and the research they do there so much, I'm returning to St Andrews to do a PhD. What is it you are interested in studying a PhD in?

Both Edinburgh and St Andrews are well reknowned and respected universities, but both very different. Edinburgh is a larger institution set in a city atmosphere, St Andrews is muh smaller, more close-knit and in a scenic sea-side town... If you are considering either of these universities, then if at all possible I would seriously recommend paying a visit to them. :)

PS - feel free to PM me for general information on the area if you are interested, I'll be happy to try and answer any questions.

Welcome Dave to Dc.
