One of the best names was a company in Santa Barbara

Minor Details, of course it helped that they drove a Morris Minor :)

I do detailing out of my garage as a hobby that pays for my own detailing supplies, etc. I call my business "Intimate Details". My business card always gets a laugh and it's pretty hard to forget. I owned a computer retail business for 18 years and found that when you come up with a name for your business you need to either have a name that is almost mind boggling unique or a name that right off the bat reveals what kind of business it is (ie: the first word in the name leaves no doubt about what you do). The reason for this is that a lot of people just won't remember your operation's name and won't use the yellow pages in the phone book. In the white pages, if you are looking for someone to detail your car, you'll start looking under "D" for detail or "A" for automobiles. In my case as an example, if someone doesn't remember my businesses name at all, I doubt they'll start looking for a detailer under "I" for Intimate. In my case, it works well because I'm retired and don't want to be bothered by too many of those kinds of people (meaning customers that actually want me to work)!

I have the solution...How about David licenses the name Autopia to members to start up detailing shops...They than have to be inspected by him and he lets them use the name FRANCHISE

I was first introduced to this great website by the owner of the cars in Buf'Fest 2009. I am amazed at how many talented detailers are located in one spot. I can tell I'll be learning a lot from all of you.
Thank you,
Pat from Calgary
