New Ford

I worked for Ford/Meguairs this past SEMA, saw some cool renditons of the GT and got to work on an interesting car with the GT40 designer on it.

LOVE the shots from SEMA Greg! I was there this year too and actually have the pics up on the SoCalFord Facebook page ( SoCalFord | Facebook ).

wytstang thank you for that diagram! I love both vehicles as well but I love seeing the Mustang GT compete so well for a fraction of the price.

Prestige Detail - I sent you a private message :)

It usually starts way before they get delivered. If you visit the area where they get assembled you'd understand why. The air is so thick with toxins you can cut it with a knife. I did warranty paint work for 6 Ford dealers, owned about 30 Mustangs, and have seen 100's and can count on 1 hand the ones that didn't have some kind of environmental damage. Not saying that there aren't out defect free ones out there, but I find it pretty pathetic that so many are prone to this condition.

I do know Fords are particularly prone to rail dust issues as well. They actually have a TSB to deal with customers who complain about it.

I agree. Just to be compared to to the M3 is a big thing and a big step up for Ford.

Compare a new 5.0 to a comparably priced BMW...oh wait, there isn't one. :lol

The fact that the 5.0 is in the same league performance-wise with a car costing that much more is amazing. Ford has done an outstanding job on the new Mustang and did it without government assistance.

yah but with a mustang on every street corner and parking lot thats not hard to do , im sure chevy with the launch of the camaro will do just fine now

Ummmmmm, since it's a worldwide market, there's a bit more to it than that. But yes, the new Mustang certainly did help Ford, as well as their Focus. None the less, Ford created these vehicles without having to ask for government bailouts. Without the US Government (and the Canadian Government as well actually), there wouldn't be any new Camaro.

I test drove the 2011 V-6 Mustang and I am a hardcore GM guy. I was VERY impressed with how tight and solid the car felt and the 305 HP V6 was amazing. I could see owning one since it is doubtful I'll buy a car from Government Motors anymore.

Why can't the mustang get independent rear suspension already? The explorer has it.....
