New detail

O.K., I've been detailing my cars for a while and to repay my neighbor for some favors, I volunteered to detail the exterior of his 2-year old Camry. This car had numerous scratches al the way through the paint as well as a ton of swirls.

I did not do the interior.

My Process:

Sprayed tires and wheels with diluted citrus APC and then cleaned with EO all tire & wheel

Cleaned the wheel wells with P21S total auto wash

Washed car with Megs GC shampoo

Clayed

Washed again and dried (of course)

Dressed tires with Zaino tire dressing

Menzerna IP with LC Orange pad

Zaino ZPC with LC White pad

Zaino Z-5

Z-8

1 more coat of Z-5

Z-8

Z-5 on the wheels

Megs NXT All Metyl Polish on exterior chrome trim

Mothers Back to Black on door seals and misc exterior trim

Thanks, gmblack, for pointing that out to me. I fixed the links and the pics are posting nicely now.

Unfortunately no. I should've had him pull the car into the street to take the pics there. As you can see from the before and after pics, the sun moved quite a bit in the sky. I started around 9AM and didn't finish until 4PM (with a couple of breaks in between).
