Ok guys I went out and bought the craftsment unit and it works well. This is the one I bought.

And this is the rigid unit I alrady had.

Compared to the ridgid unit I already have I like the craftsmen one alittle bit better, but not by much. The craftsmen unit has a easier to use hose rack and I like that the hose port faces the front of the unit rather than the side like the ridgid. The craftsmen unit looks alittle cleaner on the wall too , and it matches my garage (red & black) so in the end I choose to put the craftsmen unit in the shop and the rigid unit in the utility room. I highly reccomend both units they are of very good quality and priced right for what you get.

*Edit , forgot to say they both suck pretty much the same if I had to say one had better suction I really couldn't becasue they preformed the same. Both are very powerful for their size , detailing with them was easy and the blower feature works well for drying and blowing out under the hood ect.

EBP, what if any attachments have you bought for your Rigid? I was thinking about ordering some more attachments online.

Mine came with the dusting attachment as well as the car nozzle(I think that is the correct name). I am happy with both and could not have a vac without either. I will add a crevice tool shortly.

woob , I paid $100 for the vac and as for size it's pretty compact , I'll measure the unit on the wall tommorow when I'm in the shop.

I'm a fan of the Shop Vac brand. I picked up a 10 gallon 5hp vac for $50 after rebates back in the spring. No problems so far :)
