do you guys use anything for preventative wise on these things....i've had cars that after a few yrs they get like little scrapes on there...or paint chipped off....just wanted to know....it's metal...do you use Zaino/....AIO...or what,..,...
 
Yes, I think Zaino or Klasse would protect the wiper arms.



I do it to the wiper arms by accident everytime I detail a car. I get sloppy and smear some Klasse onto the wiper arms and I buff it off. The wipers are smooth and shiny. :D



Alternative, get the whole wiper assemply replaced every few years.

get some on there by accident..then i noticed the big difference in the spots i got it on and the ones without....so i just Zaino'd them all today...thinking that it couldn't hurt any...
 
I think it would be better for the wiper arms. Like going naked without the Zaino on it. I know I would not face the NYC weather naked. A nice t-shirt and shorts would be better. :D

Treat like paint, wax on - wax off...



If your wiper arms are all ate up, just pull them off, wet sand with 600 grit paper, wipe down with vinegar, hang 'em by a wire somewhere, and shoot 'em with black spray paint (glossy is my choice, some like flat...) This take no time at all and lasts for years. After repainting, follow up with some sealant in a week or two. Then treat like paint, wax on - wax off...

It was such a nice day... basically everyone who has been couped up all winter was out today!!!

We just took a little cruise out to Lake Jacamo and got some shots with the new chromies on.

(Top down weather is still a couple weeks away!)

I like the stock wheels, but I always liked the look of the C6/Z06 wheels on C5's. I also like chrome and the factory wheels are polished. (Another old-school mentality...:banghead:):biggrin:

i'm old school and prefer chrome myself Bill. makes the vette look so much more snazzier. i just bought chrome wheels for the wifes bimmer. i was gonna ask what would make em bling more; wheel wax or bfwd...

I used Wheel Wax on the polished/clearcoated wheels, but I haven't done anything to these chromies yet. Probably Wheel Wax.:cornut:
