New car whoas.

SRT4

Finally got rid of the SRT4 and upgraded to an 07 WRX in Rally Blue.

But I have some problems already. Car isn't a week old, but it seems someone scratched it with what looks like a razor. It's thin, but catched my fingernail and shows white, and is seriously pissing me off. Now, I have read repair techs and all, but I am not comfortable with bringing a form of sandpaper to my new car. Just doesn't sit well. I tried that langka stuff on my neon on a rockchip and it came out crappy. Any other ideas to repair? And yes, I will have pics on this site when I get home for you all to see :)

Also, the dealer prep left some swirls on the car where they rubbed off the shipping tape or whatever they use. Seems like the retard used a terry clothe and pushed with all the might his 113lb body could muster. This too is pissing me the hell off. I never really worried about swirls with my silver SRT4 before, but now on this blue color they show, they show bad. I know this has been asked before, but I have to do it again. What is the best way to cure this?

I have a PC w/ orange and white pads. So megs swirl remover from pepboys, some wolfgang prewax polish, VM, EXP, Pinnacle carnuba wax, and Wolfgang wax.

Pretty much it for detailing products..yeah, I am lame, but still. Any help is appriciated. If I need to order something, please let me know and the steps that go with it :)

Oh yeah, and a nice little ding in my door thanks to the cleaning lady at my work. I caught her though and she is paying for the PDR guy to remove it on monday. Still sucks to have all this crap happen to a brand new car.

Try using some isopropyl alcohol with a soft towel for the "scratches" . . . I can't be sure without seeing pictures, but often the adhesive residue from where the transit film was removed can appear to be a scratch. If it is adhesive residue, alcohol or a tar and wax remover should take care of it.

Good luck,

see you should of keeped your srt-4... jk man... good luck with your new found traction. i am sure you never had any traction if you had an mods done to the srt-4. at least that is the case for mine

haha yeah I know someone who I used to go to school with who owns a srt-4. He's had pretty bad traction issues, and is buying a Evo IIIV this weekend haha......

It's hard for srt-4's to get past mid 12's.

Had the neon over 280whp/320wtq. Traction was a joke.

And yes, I knew it was "woes" :) did the whoas on purpose. Call it a failed humor attempt.

Just a thought boss...

I would take the car back to the dealership and make them pay for the repair. Those kinds of places don't need any bad publicity. Trust me.. I would take it to the best shop in your area, get an estimate, then go back to the dealership and give them the option to make good on the car. If they don't, write up a report on the BBB. Strangely enough, you will more than likely get a hasty response. Good luck. :woot2:
