New Car Glue

I'm sure this has been covered, but I did a search with no luck. Maybe this title will allow others to search this in the future. Question: I am picking up my 2004 Honda Element (love it or hate it, it's super utilitarian) tonight and I've instructed the dealer to leave all plastic on the vehicle. From what the dealer has said, there is a lot of glue that will be on the panels after plastic removal and he also mentioned a "plastic spray" they use instead of plastic sheets. Can I get some recommendations on removing this glue safely? I've heard of dealers providing some of the cleaner they use to get the glue off to their customers, but I doubt this dealership will be so kind. Thanks!

I dont know of a glue remover that you want to put all over your car .........I can only reccomend this and it should work fine

wash

clay

wash again

wax

24 hours later wash and wax again

A nice wax for your vehicle is MEG NXT

following this you should have no problem

CONGRADS!!!!!!! on your new ride

Check out AutoInt and/or FinishKare. They have products that are made for this. Also look into their "decontamination" systems, I *always* do this on new cars and it's worked well for me.

Only have the AutoInt link handy...

Good idea to PDI the vehicle yourself. Vehicles can get contaminated with a lot of different things while in transit from the factory. Some vehicles are more suseptible than other depending where they originate from and there method of transport.

A Lot of damage can occure at the dealership level that is unnecessary scratches, unnecessary buffing, ......... I would do the same. The paint decontamination system is the method of choice for the auto manufactures. The Finish Kare System has been tested and shown to remove wrap guard adhesive.
