New car glue residue? Dots? (Audi)

Hello guys,

I've been away for a while now........work. Anyways I now do subcontract work for the local Porsche/Audi dealer.
So here is my problem glue residue left behind from the transit tape. Before I got to the dealership the not so bright salesmen removed all the tape from the '03 Audi's so the customers could see the colors better. As you can only imagine what fresh exposed paint can undergo before delivery.
Months ago when I was working for Volvo glue removal was a snap just some solvent, hand polish and wax. Now the Audi's have different type of glue. Since the tape was removed now I have small white dots BAKED in to the paint. Solvent barely works. Clay gets 70% of it. The remaining glue is impossible to remove. I've tried machine polish with little results. I am not going to compound a new car unless I really have to. Please any advise on this?

Thanks
-Carl

try a hair dryer...i say that a lot..the Fuzz has me thinking of mullets all day:rolleyes: then when they soften up use the clay and a lot of lubricant...

3M tar and adhesive remover ? Or Small Drops Of Eimann Fabrk Hi-Intensity Cleaner. ? Dont know if those two would be to strong or night but its work a small drop and see the results.

hair dryers are great...when we had the PacBell account and had to repaint the trucks,, we used professional heat guns(hairdryers) to soften and remove larger striping and glue residue on these mamouth trucks before they could be sanded for repaint
