NEW CAR! BMW X5 4.8is (loaded with pics)

Those things are sweet. One of my customers has a black one.

So how many 15's are you going to stuff in the rear? You know you got to do it with a truck like that.

More practical in the sense of,

what fits more my needs,

a high powered V8?

or 3 piece forged wheels?

The 3 series is an awesome vehicle, and at half the price of my new car, its a hell of a bargain for what it gives, but thinking about spending 7k on wheels to compliment a car, or spending 7k on a car that compliments itself, obviously I grabbed the X series.

That big engine, bigger space, and intimidating styling made me grab it.

The "x" series, drives like a car, not a track car, but still like a car. So about me having it here in miami, it made no difference.

One thing that did bug me about the 3 series is that I never got to choose what I wanted on it. Since I grabbed it when it was fresh and new at the dealers, I didnt get sport package, navi, comfort access, ect, all the essential amenities that make you enjoy the car more. So again, paying 7k for wheels to compliment the look of a 3 series, or getting the top model X 'series" that has everything upgraded. The choice was obvious.

Thanks everyone for your comments. You guys had no idea how bad I wanted to give you all the news when I got it last week, But sure enough wasn't gonna post it and have no pics. In order to make it perfect it took me 2-3 hours of my days all last week, to make sure every piece of plastic was cleaned and dressed, every piece of leather was conditioner, and every inch of paint was gleaming...Despite it being a new vehicle.

Dwayne can even comment on how many products were ordered through him in order to make sure my baby was gonna be treated well.

Thanks!

You guys are like my colleages here on detailcity!

The word spoiled come to mind for me

In what sense? The premium payed for the 3 series was out of my pocket, The down for this was out of my pocket, and the payments on the 3 were always out of my pocket.

I work full time and go to school nights at U.M. so I really don't see whats wrong. Im paid well for the equally well work I perform.

I've always liked cars, and have always been told and I hope everyone also knows that you can have w/e you want, you just need to work for it and grb it. Take advantage of opportunities that come your way and tell yourself there is no reason why I cant have that.

This was one of the biggest expenses I've ever made, But now that the premium for the 3 series and the down for this is out of the way, paying for it monthly is no biggie.

I'm sorry if you didn't make that comment in that way, we can't always display sarcasm and tone of voice through the internet, but that touched a nerve, in the sense that everyone always assumes that because I'm 19, my mommy and daddy probably got it for me.

wow, my mood in this thread went way down. :(

I may be wrong but I read it as you are spoiled with the ride. I am one fo the haters. Like someone else said in this thread. "I would have to rob banks to own a BMW"

Do not get down. You have a great ride, sounds like a good job, going to school, a nice house to live in....mmmm now I am not a just a hater I am seriously JEALOUS!!!! But in the best sense of the word. I really wish that I could do what you have done. That is including the terrific attention to the details.:D

You're young. Even if it wasn't meant in a bad way in this thread, you'll always hear the "mommy and daddy spoiled you" comments. When I bought my A4 2 years ago(when I was 22), that's all I heard. That or "Borrowing daddy's car?" to which I replied, "No...he's got a BMW, this is mine.". Pat yourself on the back for working hard to get what you want and earning it by yourself. If you can afford it, I don't see any problem at all.

Joyride, what is on the tires, Nano? Does it sling? Also what is Menzerna Finish polish? (is is finishing touch glaze?)

Hey,

Tires I think had TurtleWax F21 protectant. No it does not sling. Since it is waterbased, like most, it just absorbs.

Sorry about that. Menzerna Final Polish.

NOW THAT"S A SUV!!:D

Nice options! Boy, do I know what it's like waiting for what you want.

When I ordered my Porsche to Spec, it was a long wait for it, but worth it because I ordered what I wanted, not someone else.

You now have to try the new Zaino Z5 Pro when it's out!

It's nice to see hard working guys finally get a vehicle that they really want. I know gas prices now suck, but you got yourself one hell of a ride!

Get a goot shot of the engine!

Looks good.

I have been going back and fourth between the x5 4.8 and the new escalade.
The new Escalade is pretty quick. It also rides very nice. The X5 body style is about to change... I would say go with the Escalade just for that reason.

Although both multi passenger vehicles, both 2 different machines. Give and Take with both is all I'm gonna say. Somedays you'll feel like you want one more than the other for that fact.
