NEW Autoglym High Definition Wax

But in a test on another board, it was one of the only one's still around after 6.5 months. Supposedly it lasted as the poster said during the coldest and longest periods of weather (overseas) in 20 plus years.>>

Ya, carnauba lasts longer in the cold but get it in the sun and it will start to degrade in weeks.

I get months with a carnauba in summer. No durability issues except with 'notorious' carnaubas like Souveran.

Being the product junkie I am, I picked up some HD at Walmart and gave it a shot on a black Porsche Cayman.

I have to say that application and removal was pretty easy and it gave the paint a nice clean look. There was some very slight streaking, but nothing major. I gave it a quick wash and the beading was crazy.

Here are the results after Menzerna Power Lock (cured 12 hours), topped with Autoglym HD after a quick wash...

Walked into pep boys yesterday and found a whole line of Autoglym products...damn, I ordered the super resin polish last year and got banged out in shipping lol. Almost bought the hd wax but I have so much wax I havent tested yet I thought I should hold off a little.

Are you saying SRP is at Pep Boys now?

That looks brilliant. Keep in mind that AGHD is a hybrid wax so doesn't need a polymer base-coat to get great durability. Just give it two coats and you'll be very happy!

Thanks Paul.

I had already applied the Power Lock and wasn't intending on topping it with anything, but I took a trip to Walmart and needed to try the HD out on something! :D

I think the look it provides is perfect. Not too bright, not too deep, just right... Looking forward to trying it out on more cars this week.

I just spent a good part of my Saturday 105, 205 and AGHD-ing both my M3 and Tribeca. The AGHD really is amazing but I had an issue with it.

I couldn't get it to really set and my guess is that it was too hot. ?

I applied as thin as I could and let it set for about an hour but when I tried to remove it it came off easily but left a very thin layer that made it look like my pain was still swirly. I thought I got it to set by using ADAW but today I had the M3 in the sun and I still see holograms.

Don't know if it's been mentioned, however, Walmart sells this now too for about $30 for the pot. I was in there the other day picking up some more Bleche White and my jaw dropped when I saw it.

Could that have been leftover oils from the M205? What step did you take after the 205 polish? Most the general census seems to be at least an IPA wipe down if not a Dawn wash after 205.

Maybe that's my fail. After 205 I just wiped down with a clean MF. They both looked beautiful after the 205 so it didn't occur to me to do anything more.

Yeah, 205 is great but it's a very residue-y product.

yup wally world put it on clearance, i think it wasnt moving. $20 isnt bad considering it normally sells for $38 at wally world and $50 elsewhere.

I hope whenever I use this I can justify it. I only bought this based upon 1) the favorable comments and 2) for 21.40 (with tax) it seemed like a very good price.
