I think it is a great consumption of time. It is great exercise,.. it is great for the mind, relaxation, and just generally healthy. Only downside is the Obsession we get from it, but obsession/passion whats the difference? I find people without such boring,.. Neurotic obsessive compulsive man or woman is much more interesting than a 'normal' avg. Joe.
With that out of the way.
It is almost sad when you've done everything you can do to the vehicle. When its in pristine condition. Because you want to do more. I am at this juncture,.. waiting on my DWG to come in, so I can wash it and strip off the Sealant, and apply several coats of DWG then the sealant.
The daily wipe down of pollen/etc still remains, but I haven't yet gotten to the point where I am urged to clean other cars besides my own with the same level of care.
For a reasonable amount of money, sure. But, people don't understand that if your going to 'detail' their car it is at least an 8hour job. Wash, Clay, Polish, Glaze, Seal/Wax minimum. Takes time,..
Even if you put your rate at 20$ an hour.. that is still $160 on the fee. Well worth it for the job done ( Not even including the interior that you will do). I have alot of family and friends who want me to do their cars after seeing my work, but for say, $50.00 -- Hah. I might as well just do them for free, the money would be an insult =)
