New 2008 Atomic Orange Z06 wetsanded deep etching on hood/roof

Amazing work Bryan, nothing short of what I expected of you. I've learned how to sand by hand using Meg's Unigrit but never using an air-powered DA. I sure would love to learn how to sand using the DA and all those different sanding discs that I have no knowledge of.

It would definitely be an experience if I could show up in Atlanta to watch you work your magic, hehe.

That is just sick, Bryan. I'm dying to try my hand at wet sanding...Just afraid to pull the trigger. Todd said he'd walk me through it. I just need to make a check list of what I need exactly and just do it.

I'm digressing...Top notch work, Bryan.

Thanks Hulkster!

Its just like anything else. Heck grab a panel from the junkyard and practice on that.

Great work - your persistence really paid off. I imagine that this particular color is not very forgiving of defects, so the owner must really be pleased.

Thanks karburn!

Thanks TSC17! The biggest part of wetsanding is being able to get out what you induce into the paint.

Wow, I have no idea how I missed this thread??

Bryan, unbelievable job at fixing the damage done to the paint! I can't believe how deep the etching was and the amazing results you were able to achieve.

I love Atomic Orange on the new Z's

Looks amazing, great work!!!!! :bow:bow:bow:bow:bow:bow:bow

Great work man! and has anybody else thought how amazing it is that water can do this? I've seen etching from bird bombs that stayed on for months - but water, that must be some acid rain or something.

Thanks Junebug! You would think that part of it has to be the magnification effect. Beads of water creating magnification which burns its way into the clear....
