The color is the crystal greay matalic. not graphite not grey its in between.

and i already have it to where no one will touch the car utill im there to watch them take the plastic stuff off and hand me the keys. Im not letting anymore even think about tounching the car with any kind of material MF or not.

With that said. I will be doing a wash clay ploish and wax when it gets home that night.

Now since its new i wont be needing to use my ssr 1 or 2.5. What polish should i use on it Pwc or PPP or some other brand. I have never used these kinds of pure polish products before. Applied with polishing or finishing pad?

After that on dark sliver cars what would look better Ex or Ex-p?

And for the wax i will be doing 3 coats of nattys.

Its going to be intresting working around that huge wing and scoop. I wish i could of gotten the wrx wing instead but there was nothing they could do even though i ordered it drirect from the factory brand brand new. i could do a lid swap for 500 bucks but unless its a brand new lid i dont think so.

anyways. thanks i cant wait to get her.

o heres some pics of the color of the car ill be getting for thoes of you not knwoing what it looks like.

Bad a$$! I am wanting to get on next year. I doubt I will be able to afford the STi but I would really like a WRX.

Congrats on getting a great performing car! Unfortunately, the looks of the car have never done anything for me, but the performance is hard to beat.

It probably wouldn't hurt to go over the car with SSR1 or AIO, then apply your LSP.

Either EX or EX-P would look great on your new car. Congrats, BTW!

To my eyes the EX-P would probably bring out more of the flake. If you have both products on hand and weather permits, experiment and see what you like better. If you don't have either product on hand, I'd recommend the EX-P...you can't really go wrong either way. I did a metallic forest green Solara a few months ago with PwC + EX and it was so good folks at NOPI kept asking the owner if he had a custom paint job!

As to the polish, I haven't tried PPP but can say that either SSR 1 or PwC would be a great polish to use. I tend to like using PwC when using EX due to both having Carnuba, but experiment & see what YOU like best. SSR 1 is mild and is a great prep for EX or EX-P.

I wouldn't be concerned about SSR 1 being too harsh...it is mild enough that it shouldn't create any marring and many use it as their final polish step. Always remember the finish is really perfected in the prep work. When a car is prepped well & the LSP is applied properly the LSP is just the icing on the cake.

Since you are getting so many suggestions, (all good), maybe it would be to your benefit to give them all some thought while I break-in your new car for you. :D
Having had a couple of Turbo AWD Talons, I can tell you that you are in for some fun. :)
Enjoy.

Charles

ps. You can PM me if you want to take me up on the break-in offer.

Well i dont have the ex or the pwc. so ill be at least ordering the pwc. i really want to darken and deepen the paint so im thinking ex would be the best for that app.

O and im comming off an integra type R so im used to a good handling car but i cant wait for awd turbo madness. first thing im doing to her is putting the proper springs on pillow mounts on her like the jdm version has. why they different springs on the usa car i have no idea.
