Are you talking about the ones that were on sale for 6 5.5" orange pads for $14.99?

I got a dozen of them. :woot:

yeah, that was a really good deal. I take it you got 2 sets (a dozen pads) and not a dozen sets right? :)

mr. ikon,

Actually, I think I remember seeing one of your C&B from long ago and thought you were Filipino, but the reason why I asked was because my friend made me watch a few comedians from this comedy special called Payaso, I think? One of them happened to be a Filipino guy and he was making fun of Filipinos and Mexicans and one of the jokes was about how Filipinos mix up F's and P's, and then he jokes about how Mexicans mix up their Y's and J's.

Welp you're right on the money. And yes you passed up on a great deal for pads.

Actually, it looks like they still have that deal $14.99 deal. They added another package that's $24.99 that includes 6 of the 4 inch pads.

If that's the same 4" orange pad that they give away for free with their 4" CCS pad bundle, just be aware that a 3.5" backing plate will be larger than the velcro backing. It should be perfect if you have the 2.75" inch bp.

Hey Ikon ...Bro that finish looks awesome! Could you take very close pictures though? I really want to see it!:) Very nice work though ..I will be waiting for more pictures!

Was the dusting pretty bad? :) forget it I just re read it agin...so it looks to be of a very good product.:idea

So i did my fender just for shiz and giggles. It has a lot less defects than my trunk so here it is...

The door obviously, but the fender had similar defects.

Here is an attempt at a half shot, but it wouldnt come out clean.

Was that just after intensive or after high polish as well?

This was just the high gloss polish.

rotary or PC?

Rotary

I think i might do my door as well. Show some 50/50's. I'm sore from yesterdays workout so i can skip the gym today.

Hmm, might want to try the intensive to get some more of those minor marks and marring out that are visible in the first half shot that you said didn't come out well.

If you're referring to the fender, the paint came out just awesome. The trunk is the one that i had problems with. Might need to hit it with some wool. If not, then i have some 2500 and 3000 grit paper waiting to be used.

Ok, since i didnt have to stop at the gym today, I went ahead and did the door.

Before of the door. Usual defects. Scratches, water etching. Decent for a car last detailed almost 2 years ago.

After White CCS and Hi Gloss. It amazes me more and more. Door cleaned up really nice.

Looks like we have a lower dusting replacement for the beloved SIP and 106ff.

I will be ordering the intensive paste and high gloss polish now.

It really is a great product. But like I said before, I dont have any SIP or 106 to make the actual comparison. But even the high gloss on my cars defects, it cuts fast, didnt notice any dusting, and a high gloss shine.

Good luck with your order. I'm sure you'll love it.

Seeing your results convinced me to buy the High Gloss Polish instead of a new quart of 106ff. The HGP is half the price, and it certainly looks like it has all of the shine. Great information, man, thanks for sharing... and saving me 25 bucks! :)

I also have the vinyl and rubber care "Tiefenpfleger" and I can tell you first hand that when applied to tires it does leave a matte finish, just like new. And it does repel water for weeks. I use ARO undiltued to clean wheel wells and tires and the treated tires just laugh at it, even when I use a brush. Its kind of expensive but it does work as advertised so I only use it on my truck.

I'm gonna have to get some of that, too. I love the matte look on tires. Haven't been able to find a good matte finishing product yet. This sounds great.

Hey you're more than welcome. When the UPS man came i had to try it out. Might as well share right? The real test is on the ceramiclear finishes. Now to find my test subject.

my bottle came in also along with a bottle of blackfire high gloss polish:grinno: i have never tried either of it but im looking forward to soon (rained today).

hey ikon, doesnt the bottle seem kinda flimsy to you? its thinner than ever.. i hope it doesnt bust if i drop it or throw it around. :hairpull

I couldnt agree more Al. Even when i grab the bottle to apply more polish, it spits sometimes. I think thats my only complaint so far.

Hey Al, is the blackfire high gloss polish the ceramiclear polish?

I always rebottle my stuff into smaller containers from TAP plastics, so im not worrying about it breaking. it just seemed way to flimsy to me.. but you cant judge something by the bottle, right? :chuckle:

Yes, i think so. supposely the same stuff as 106ff but with a longer working time. I was too poor to buy 106ff and the blackfire is available in a 16oz bottle for $22. Hm.. come to think of it, its a few dollars cheaper than the 106ff.
