New "100% cotton" viking mitts are NOT!

I received this email from Viking this afternoon.



"Your mitts have been received and your order is being processed. Please do not respond to this e-mail."



Hopefully I'll be getting my replacements soon.
 
Has anyone actually received their replacement mitts or has

heard of any time frame as to when VIKING intends on shipping?

I know it takes time to turn things around , I'm just curous.
 
Excellent customer support! I don't have any need to send anyback since mine have been working OK and will just use them to clean my wheels when I get the new versions of the 100% viking mits.Have the new ones arrived in the stores?

I am interested too in the new ones and their availability.
 
Im sending back my 2 new ones i had purchased last month for use when i progressed from zaino to Souveran. They both faiiled the burn test.:nono
 
Just received my replacement Viking Wash Mitts today. Sent in 2 and got back 3. Packaging is Blue and it says "Cotton Chenille Wash Mitt Plush 100% cotton chenille pile gently cleans all surfaces. Viking Car Care Made Easy". Its Made in USA item #'s are 990300 and 990310.



I must give Viking ALOT of credit for going above and beyond this fantastic customer service of theirs. They received my returns without any questions whatsoever and no purchase slip. Above all this only took a couple of weeks. Thank you very much Schroeder & Tremayne. Looking forward to your new pro products due out later this year.



And I did perform the burn test. The strand of cotton burnt cleanly and completely. No black residue was left.
 
Got my shipment today!:bounce



And for the burn test? ...... drum roll please ...... THEY ALL PASSED! :xyxthumbs



I now have 4 genuine 100% cotton mitts! :D



I called and thanked them personally for the attention to customer service. HOWEVER, they had the duty of care to make sure that they were genuine before they incurred this mass recall :nono But, they acknowledged and delivered. :up
 
got em via fed ex today, sent back 2, got 3 as promised (shipping was refunded in extra mitt)



Viking went above and beyond for their customers and I will be sure to put in a good word to everyone I know to buy viking car products.

addition: the cuffs that go around your wrist when you put the glove on are dark blue/black (i can't tell exactly) I think viking said that this would differentiate them from the old gloves that say 100% cotton but are not (white cuffs)



There are still white cuff ones still around in stores so don't get confused
