What are your guys process' for neglected tires that rarely see dressing? Whenever I do someone elses' car its usually neglected so the tires are really dry/brown and just suck up the dressing making me use alot more than I usually would. Is there a better way to go about this?

Nick: First, clean with TOL's Tire Cleaner cut 50/50 (sometimes 2 applications plus heavy scrubbing is needed).

Then, once dry, you'll want to "soak" the tire with dressing. Go heavy on the application, wait 10, then re-apply x 2. This works for 95% of the tires I've done...BTW: I use Zaino Z16 tire dressing.

I pressure-wash the tires during the wash process, and that seems to get ANY tire back to a nice deep black... Ready for dressing.

Good idea?

Try using the tire cleaner WITH a pressure washer :D. Talk about a stream of grime coming off the tire.

How many PSI is your pressure washer? I only have a 1300psi piece and it isn't enough, alone, to clean tires.

Yeah, let the tires drink it up, just apply more because at one point the will get full ^_^

For really neglected tires, I normally use Eagle One All Wheel and Tire and a stiff brush to deep clean. Once clean and dry, I dress them similar to Sean's method.
