Up for Detail today is a 2010 Ford Escape. The owner of this car admittedly hasn’t taken much care of it since he bought it new in 2010. It’s a family car driven by 4 different people each week (all of which are smokers and parallel park by “sound”). This winter has been very harsh on pretty much every car in Chicago, however, it have been more so hard on this one due to the fact that they clean the snow off of it with a push broom. When this car has been washed in the past, it has been taken to the dealer for free washes and to local “brush” style washes.

Great job. What was the owner's reaction?

The owner was speechless when he first saw it and after he found words to say, he was very excited. He was thinking of trading it in (which is why i got the job in the first place), but now he said he will probably keep it for awhile longer. He has contacted me about maintaining the finish on this vehicle and doing a few more vehicles. I have also received many calls from people he has referred, so I think its safe to say he was very pleased.

Well done! I like the way you posted the pictures. Such a dramatic turnaround. You wrote that you used a grout sponge. Is that one of those sponges used to clean the tile after you fill in the grout? I never thought of using one for washing. How do you like it?

I like it alot. Theyre soft, cheap, and they havent marred any finishes yet to my knowledge... a lot of ONR guys use them

Thanks! I will check that out. I have started using ONR a few times and the The Bone wash sponge I use gets real dirty. Takes some work to clean it up.

Glad to hear, great work pays off!
