Need Tips for Removing the Dealership Badge

I'm planning on removing the dealership badge and need some tips.

It is a plastic rectangle, about 1.5"x5" adhered to the back of my car with double-sided foam tape (I hate dealerships). This is a brand new car, so I plan to probably splurge and do a Zaino-kit job on it after I remove the badge.

Specific steps and no-no's would be great! Thanks! :)

Either of the above just add wax after its all cleaned up.

You can use a hair dryer to heat it up first but it's not needed. It took me all of about 5 seconds to floss through the 2.5 badge on my g/f's Rabbit, and maybe another 30 seconds to clean up the residue. A plastic razor blade helps with the residue but is not needed.

I've had success with dental floss. Then just use some goo-gone to get the left over residue.

Ditto. I use Prep Dol to remove the residue.

Decal dealer ads can be removed by heating up the decal with a hair dryer and slowly peeling them back, and then remove the residue with goo gone, Prep Sol, mineral spirits, etc.

While I was in Colorado Springs last week, I saw a 2006 Mustang that had the dealer advertising riveted on! :furious: :hairpull :angry :wall

I would have thrown the biggest fit if a dealer did that to my new car!!!
