Need some spray wax advise

I have used Optimum spray wax in the past and got away from it because it tended to streak. After several trials I settled on Souveran spray wax because I liked the look and the ease of application...however...durability was not its strong suit. Recently I got a sample bottle of the new formula that supposedly has been improved to last longer. I got a pretty weekend, stripped the truck with CG wash and gloss used at the concentrated level to strip. Clayed, did an alcohol rub down, followed by a coat of CG Blacklight. After the Blacklight I put two coats of the new Souveran spray wax with about two hours between coats. The truck looked good and I thought I had a combination that would look good and be somewhat durable. The truck sat outside through one rain storm with the weather never getting over 70. When It rained the water would bead like crazy! We finally had a decent day and I decided to wash using CG Citrus Wash and Clear at less than the recommended amount for a maintenance wash. To say I was disappointed in the results is an understatement. After the final flood rinse there was no more beading and the paint was not slick! Am I expecting to much from a spray wax ? Need some advise because I don't understand such a poor performance from the new Souveran formula. I am now debating on going back to OCW but don't really want to deal with its quarks. I am looking for a spray wax that will produce a good shine, is easy to use with out streaks and some durability. Quite frankly Meguires Quick spray wax fits the bill but lacks durability. Whats out there that will fit my demands?
 
What ratio did you use the CG Citrus Wash and Clear? You may have stripped all the spray wax.

I've never had OCW streak on me. Perhaps you're using too much of it. Have you tried using a milder shampoo? I've used both OCW and the new souveran spray wax from pinnacle and don't have any problems with durability. I use either DG901 or Optimum Car Wash at .5oz per gallon and it doesn't strip wax. I've even used it 1oz a gallon and no issues.
 
I used the ratio listed on the label. For a maintenance wash, which is 1/2 oz for two gallons. In fact I cut it short and used a little less that 1 oz to my 5 gallon bucket. I don't know if it stripped the wax or not BUT there was no beading or slick feel after the wash. At this point I don't know if the spray wax didn't hold up or the soap was to strong?I have reapplied the Souveran and next time will use the Optimum car wash I have and that should tell the story. CG is notorious for having different dilution rates on their shampoos when you compare to what they list on their web site. I'll check in on that.
 
I went back and checked the CG web site for the Citrus Wash and Clear and sure enough there is conflicting information. The web site states "1 capfull per 5 gallons of water" However if you scroll down to the specifications chart it says "1 oz per 4 to 5 gallons of water" I have a glass measuring cup and one capfull of water measures out to be less than 1/2 oz! SO...there you go. Which directions from CG do you believe? If I can't trust them to get the directions correct and in all probability its looking like the shampoo did in fact strip the wax then the solution is to not trust their directions and use something else!
 
The Pinnacle Souveran spray will not survive after CG Citrus. I used this spray wax when I tested it on my wifes CRV it lasted about a month(well water was still beading but I did wash in-between with Pinnacle or BF rinseless).

Over blacklight I would use V7 or Wolfgang Deep Gloss Spritz.
